The goal is to cultivate the innate empathy in children who are blessed with resources and lead them on a path that empowers the ones who are not. Our beneficiaries include more than 700 children studying in 10 government schools in the villages of Billalavalasa, Ippalavalasa, Bhagiradhipuram, Kondalaveru, Korlam, Badam, Kunchigumadam and Siriyalapeta, in Vizianagaram district, A.P.

Run For A Better Future

Balamitra Foundation is back with its annual fundraising event – Run For A Better Future to support underprivileged children. Through this year’s event, we are raising funds to support the Government schoolchildren in the Merakamudidam mandal, Andhra Pradesh through library books, sports equipment, art kits, scholarships, vidya volunteer support and menstrual hygiene management. In addition, we will be helping provide digital access to the students of Heal School, Vijayawada.

Keeping in line with our goal of having children lead fundraising activities, this event is being led by seven 11th graders who comprise the Student Council, with support from a team of student volunteers responsible for spreading the word about the cause and bringing in registrations.

Our goal here is two-fold – raise funds for our cause and encourage participants to work on their fitness. All participants will get e-certificates and student finishers will be awarded CAS hours on their certificate. Top 3 finishers in each categories will win medals and gifts.

Balamitra Foundation is a registered Public Charitable Trust that was started in 2016 with a mission to empower underprivileged sections of the society with children leading the way through volunteering and fundraising activities. With our slogan ‘together for a brighter tomorrow’, our goal is to build a sense of community and togetherness in children at both ends of the spectrum.

Our primary beneficiaries are children studying in rural government schools in Vizianagaram district, Andhra Pradesh. We started with providing them sports equipment and over the years we have included library books, infrastructure support, scholarships, menstrual hygiene management, and art kits.

Our volunteers are students who study in reputed Hyderabad schools and use this opportunity to help their peers in village schools while building on their life skills – leadership, empathy & understanding, teamwork, communication, etc.

Since we began, we have impacted the lives of more than 1500 rural schoolchildren. Our goal is to support rural government schools in providing a holistic and fulfilling educational experience to its students.

the funds raised will be used to provide sports equipment, reading and art kits, menstrual hygiene management, scholarships, and infrastructure support to the children studying in underprivileged schools.
